JOB SUMMARY: This position provides valuable services to the Norfolk Airport Authority Police Department in a non-enforcement role. Primarily responsible to assist patrons, security, and the police with various functions. Requires excellent communications skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work as a team with all NAA departments, airlines, and tenants to enhance the overall security of the airport.

- When assigned, responds to, and assists with the completion of non-police reports, such as slips, trips or fall.
- Assists with monitoring the security camera system for investigative purposes, and to proactively identify activity or behavior which necessitates police response, crowd monitoring, observing calls for service to provide additional information to responding units, etc.
- Assists with community engagement and other activities.
- Assists with administrative tasks at police facilities, such as answering telephones, processing paperwork, and conducting checks of department records.
- Answers questions and assist patrons, tenants and airline partners as needed.
- Maintains and cares for all assigned equipment.
- Attend training sessions, briefings and presentations from police department and NAA Management.
- Adheres to all on-the-job training, company policies and procedures as provided.
- Liaisons with Authority departments, airlines, security contractor staff, and tenant partners.
- Conduct routine inspections of terminal to identify hazards; reports same via the chain of command.
- Provides daily reports of incidents and inconsistencies of airport security to Police Leadership.
- Understands and complies with Employee Policy requirements and policy guidelines.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.
- Adhere to all Authority personnel policies and departmental guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.
