Job Description: Project Manager/Program Manager for Global IT platforms in Investment Banking
Primary Location: Canada-Montreal; Jersey City-USA
Pole: CORPORATE AND INSTITUTIONAL BANKING
Business Line: Corporate and Institutional Banking IT and Operations Americas
Business Overview:
CIB Americas IT develops, improves, and maintains a wide range of applications, infrastructure and production services across a wide range of banking domains (e.g., capital markets, corporate banking, payments, regulatory and financial reporting, compliance, HR, data analytics) leveraging a mix of both global and regional platforms in accordance with the strategic objectives of the business and operations areas.

The CIB Quality and Efficiency team leads the oversight and implementation of various flagship projects. It contributes to articulating, establishing, reviewing ITO activities for the Americas region.
Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced project manager to assist with PMO activities for a large IT/Cyber program. Including:
1) Run program governance, provide visibility to management on portfolio and project status during steering committees.
2) Provide operational support to project managers, producing a summary of the project portfolio, ensure that project commitments are clearly defined and monitored (budget, schedule, risks, etc.).
3) Handle program administration, including resource/expense management and budget forecasting
4) Help coordinate the PMO community

The candidate must demonstrate experience in managing complex IT/Cyber projects involving dozens stakeholders across a diverse IT and business environment.

The candidate needs to have excellent organizational and time management skills. He/she must be comfortable with presenting to staff and managers alike. The candidate must demonstrate good leadership skills and be able to drive complex changes as well as coordinate the effort of dozens of stakeholders towards a single goal.
Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT/Cyber Project and program Management managing mid to large-scale projects as well as handling a variety of projects, along with documentation and presentation experience (Committee, Decks, Portfolio reviews, business requirements, process flows, procedures, GAP analysis).
  • Financial industry experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Sharepoint, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written (French communication skills is a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and conflicts
  • Ability to work in autonomy and fulfilling tight deadlines
  • Ability to write and present meaningful status reports .
