Summary
A leading international trading company is seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Manager to join its Food Business Department. This position is responsible for managing and developing the supply chain and logistics operations for food ingredients, primarily exported from the U.S. to overseas markets. The role requires working with suppliers across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring efficient procurement and smooth delivery to clients overseas. The incumbent will also play a key role in streamlining operations and ensuring the timely shipment of approximately 200 containers per week.
Essential Duties
- Logistics Operations Management: Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inland trucking and international shipments, to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods to clients in Asia under high-pressure conditions. Build and maintain strong relationships with U.S.-based suppliers and overseas clients.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team (3-4 members), providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration. Support team members in processing sales/purchase orders, preparing required business transaction documents, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and internal policies. Delegate tasks to administrative or operations staff as needed. Foster a team environment that prioritizes efficiency and innovation.
- Optimization and Problem-Solving: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity in a high-volume logistics environment (approximately 200 containers per week). Ensure smooth operations.
- Financial Oversight: Conduct cost analyses and manage cash flow to maintain profitability while mitigating risks associated with logistics operations in collaboration with the manager.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Credit, Risk Management, and Legal departments, to ensure seamless execution of business transactions.

- Monday - Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Hybrid remote (subject to change)

Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or international trade, with a proven track record of managing high-volume operations.
- Thorough knowledge of international trade procedures, customs laws, bookkeeping principles, and related regulations.
- Extensive experience with shipping procedures, air transportation, and freight forwarders.
- Experience leading small teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage supplier and client relationships effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to embrace new challenges and pursue innovative business opportunities.
