Job title: Head Start Director

Location: Central Office, Jamestown, KY

(10 county service area)

Requirements: Requires a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration. Must have knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Head Start Program. Minimum of five (5) years’ program management experience required. Must possess good written and oral communication skills, basic recordkeeping knowledge in addition to budgetary management experience. Must have a good work history and possess the ability to establish good professional working relationships with community partners and have the ability to effectively communicate with Head Start staff, service providers and families. Must be 21 years of age. Must successfully complete background checks, physical exam and drug/alcohol testing. COVID vaccination required.

Duties (partial list): This position must ensure that all content areas covering all program options, including Early Head Start, Home Base, and Migrant, are monitored adequately to ensure that all Head Start Performance Standards are met or exceeded.

Collaborate with Community Partners, including LEAs. Ensure Strategic Plan, Self-Assessment and Community Needs Assessment are updated as required. Review program budget monthly. Visit each Center regularly.
