Summary

The Director of Partial Hospital Program (PHP) must have experience facilitating groups and be knowledgeable in the treatment of dual diagnosis and mental health disorders in a partial hospital setting. This position requires the ability to function independently, to manage crises, and to understand various levels of psychiatric care. The Director position is a master’s level clinician with experience and expertise in the treatment of patients with mental health and substance use disorders.

Essential Job Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Facilitate staff meetings and clinical rounds.
  • Supervise chart audits and oversee maintenance of patient notes.
  • Supervise clinical staff and graduate students.
  • Carry a caseload of four to five (4-5) patients depending on census.
  • Complete patient assessments; provide diagnosis, treatment planning, case management and discharge planning services.
  • Perform utilization reviews.
  • Lead groups focused on mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of outside credentialing agencies such as insurers, the Joint Commission, and the Department of Public Health.
  • Work in conjunction with insurance requirements.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and identify appropriate level of care for patients.
  • Perform administrative and clinical duties.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of clinical experience in an addiction, mental health treatment program or Partial Hospital Program or group counseling required. One to two (1-2) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and must be able to work well on a multidisciplinary team.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: LCSW, LICSW or LMHC required.
