OBJECTIVE
The Building Manager is responsible for being a "working" manager and overseeing a crew of in-house employees and/or independent contractors, ensuring cleaning of assigned locations is performed to City Wide standards and delivering exemplary results/customer service to the client. Essential Functions
Daily job responsibilities/functions include, but are not limited to:
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring and stairs
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms
- Restock supplies in restrooms, break rooms and common areas
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners and clean receptacles as necessary
- Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered
- Clean windowsills and windows
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment always
- Other routine janitorial duties as assigned
- Utilize the Timekeeping system for verification of all time
- Communicate with the immediate supervisor for any daily priorities or changes in the standard schedule
- Correct and handle all Client complaints or requests following City Wide policy
- Communicate any HR issues and/or work-related injuries
- Communicate with the Client through a supervisor or use a logbook to communicate daily
- Perform any other duties as required by the position
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 1-year supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to perform routine walking, standing, and bending for extended periods
- Ability to independently carry items weighing less than 50 lbs. Moving items over 50 lbs. Utilizes a team lift
