We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud architecture, automation, security, and DevOps practices, ensuring the efficient operation of cloud-based applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Management

- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, API Gateway, and CloudFront.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based systems.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

- Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security.

  1. Automation & DevOps

- Develop CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.

- Automate deployment and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

- Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices for repeatable, scalable deployments.

  1. Security & Compliance

- Implement security best practices using AWS IAM, KMS, Security Groups, and Network ACLs.

- Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.

- Monitor security threats using AWS GuardDuty, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, and WAF. - Apply zero-trust security principles and manage secure access controls.

  1. Monitoring & Performance Optimization

- Set up observability and monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, Prometheus, or Grafana.

- Optimize application performance using AWS Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, and caching strategies.

- Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudTrail, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.

  1. Networking & Connectivity

- Design and manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, and VPN connectivity.

- Implement hybrid cloud solutions using AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPN. - Optimize DNS management using Amazon Route 53.

  1. Disaster Recovery & Backup

- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using AWS Backup, S3 Versioning, and Glacier.

- Define RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) policies.

- Perform regular disaster recovery (DR) testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Primary Technical Skills (Must-Have)

- Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFormation, CloudWatch).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

- Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes - EKS). - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience in monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

- Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, Security Groups, GuardDuty). - Familiarity with networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Load Balancing, Route 53).

Secondary Technical Skills (Nice-to-Have)

- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS Outposts). - Knowledge of serverless computing (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions). - Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework.

- Experience with data streaming and messaging services (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS). - Understanding of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

- Experience in AI/ML workloads on AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda with AI models). Education & Certifications

- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - AWS Certifications (Preferred):

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional

- AWS Certified Security Specialty

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
