Role Overview: Sales Analytics Leader (Workforce & Performance)
As the Sales Analytics Leader (Workforce & Performance), you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the performance of the company’s retail workforce while driving the overall success of the sales teams. Reporting initially to the COO, you will work closely with key stakeholders across Retail, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Analytics to deliver actionable insights that directly impact business outcomes.
In this hands-on role, you will blend strategic leadership with executional expertise to enhance workforce productivity, improve sales team performance, and refine incentive models to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Workforce Optimization: Develop strategies to maximize showroom workforce efficiency, including optimized headcount models and effective work allocation strategies.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance across various categories, price points, showrooms, and sales representatives to identify improvement opportunities and drive targeted strategies.
- Customer Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve appointment availability and customer interactions, fostering stronger connections and enhancing sales.
- Compensation & Incentives: Refine and improve compensation and incentive structures for showroom employees to align with sales goals and drive motivation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Retail, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Analytics teams to ensure sales performance insights are effectively communicated and used to drive strategy.
- Hands-On Leadership: Lead a small team of analysts (1 Manager, 2 Senior Analysts, 2 indirect reports), while also actively contributing to the analysis and execution of key projects.
Skills Needed to Succeed
- Sales Analytics Expertise: Strong background in sales analytics, with a proven track record of driving revenue through data insights.
- Workforce Analytics Experience: While workforce analytics experience is a plus, strong sales analytics leadership with the ability to adapt and learn new areas will set you up for success.
- Leadership & Team Development: Prior experience managing a small team of analysts, with a focus on coaching, leadership, and team development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with data visualization tools (Domo preferred, but other tools are transferable), advanced Excel skills for developing models, and familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business strategy.
- Communication: Ability to present insights clearly to executive stakeholders and influence decision-making across teams.
- Strategic Thinking: A balance of strategic and hands-on execution skills, with a keen eye for improving existing processes and driving continuous improvement.
