Nayamode is seeking a Technical Documentation Writer to manage and maintain documentation for the Quantum Development Kit (QDK) and other Quantum services. This role involves writing and updating conceptual, API, and how-to documentation for a developer audience. The ideal candidate will have experience writing SDK documentation, a strong understanding of Python, and preferably some background in quantum computing and/or low-level programming (e.g., firmware or device drivers).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Documentation Repos: Maintain and update technical documentation on GitHub repo.
  • Content Development: Write and edit conceptual guides, API documentation, and tutorials for Quantum products.
  • Markdown Publishing: Write and format content using Markdown and publish updates to the documentation platform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Developers to gather information and ensure accuracy.
  • Quantum SDK & Developer Focus: Create content that supports developers working with Quantum computing tools.
  • Localization Support: Ensure content aligns with global audiences, assisting with translated versions where needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Experience writing technical documentation for developer-focused products (SDKs, APIs).
  • Strong understanding of Python programming and ability to write code snippets.
  • Proficiency in Markdown and technical documentation tools.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and product teams.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with quantum computing concepts and frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane).
  • Background in low-level programming (e.g., firmware, device drivers) or physics.
  • Prior experience contributing to open-source documentation or GitHub-based content.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Learn or similar developer documentation platforms.
