Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Testing & Repair: Diagnose, test, clean, and repair IT hardware (including desktops, laptops, iPads, monitors, barcode scanners, POS accessories, etc.). Perform component-level repairs when possible.
  • Software Installation: Install operating system images on Windows PCs and laptops.
  • Incident & Request Management:
    • Monitor ticketing system queues for user incidents and requests.
    • Configure and ship IT equipment to fulfill incoming service requests.
    • Provide daily status updates via the ticketing system.
  • Asset Management:
    • Process remote employee terminations and store closures by coordinating the return of IT equipment.
    • Update asset assignment records for incoming and outgoing hardware.
  • Shipping & Inventory Control:
    • Assist with inbound package receiving, inventory updates, and equipment sorting.
    • Manage outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of required equipment.
    • Maintain adequate stock levels of repair parts and IT equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination:
    • Process requests for third-party or vendor repair services for non-repairable equipment.
  • Workspace Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized lab and warehouse area.
    • Ensure compliance with internal IT processes and best practices.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Provide project updates and status reports to management or project leads.
    • Utilize IT helpdesk systems efficiently to track and manage requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in component-level break/fix repairs of IT equipment (Required)
    • Experience with Dell and Lenovo desktops/laptops, and client printers (Preferred)
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification (Strongly Preferred)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of IT hardware components and repair processes.
    • Experience enrolling and supporting devices via Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach frequently.
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Must have the manual dexterity required to operate a computer and office equipment.
