Brief Company Description

AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers specifically designed for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services as well as upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares that fit multiple brands. In addition, AGC offers Field Leak Testing and inspections of plate heat exchangers that meet the 3-A sanitary standard.

AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA, Fairview, OR & Pleasant Prairie, WI) with about 110 employees (70 OR / 20 VA / 20 other locations). Currently, most of the sales are in the US & Canada. AGC Heat Transfer has a strong engineering culture with a heavy emphasis on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

Job Description

This role will act as the main liaison between production and sales located on-site at the Fairview, OR plant. This includes supporting sales requests for information on existing order status and quick ship sales opportunities. The Production Sales Coordinator ensures new and changed orders are screened and are accurate before being released to the production team. Other activities include general production support for the Fairview facility.

This role requires strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and research abilities. Strong technology expertise, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems will be vital to the success of the position.

Position Responsibilities

  • Works with Fairview Production manager, supervisors and facility planner to understand the status of each order on the order book within a 6-week window, proactively checking to ensure orders meet ship dates
  • Develop and implement a communication methodology with the AGC sales team to allow for effective communication about order status. Effective communication about order status includes a process for the sales team regarding order status focused on accurate and timely communications on projected ship dates
  • Maintain the ship dates in the ERP system adjusting due dates as appropriate
  • Review all new orders and existing change orders for accuracy before they are released to the production floor both for informational and technical accuracy. Coordinate with sales team members to revise and resolve
  • Respond to all sales requests for order status information, current lead time for new orders to be entered and emergency quick ship situations for both parts and new frames
  • Work closely with production colleagues on emergency situations to ship same day, if needed and/or a response for sales in lead time for expedited frame opportunities
  • Take a proactive approach with feedback to procurement and production to ensure typical quick ship items are stocked (parts and frames)
  • Establish and develop a strong relationship with the sales team to support their efforts to grow business shipped from the Fairview facility with accurate and timely communication
  • Send shipping notices to sales team members and customers to confirm tracking for shipped orders
  • Assist with other general support duties for the Fairview plant and other specifically assigned tasks as needed by the Company

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, two- or four-year degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ work experience preferred
  • Relevant experience and understanding of manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have strong customer service experience with detailed analysis skills
  • Strong O365 and computer skills required.
  • ERP experience required. Experience with MACOLA EM10 a plus
  • Experience working with sales and manufacturing personnel to organize information to record accurate order/shipping status
  • Experience working with teams and multiple departments across the organization is essential
  • Must be able to multitask and work independently
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills including good interpersonal skills.

Job Type

Wage

  • $64,000 - $68,000
