Job Summary: The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules to ensure efficient operations and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role works closely with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Sales teams to balance raw material availability, equipment capacity, labor, and customer demand.

- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, production capacity, and material availability.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure raw material availability aligns with the schedule.
- Communicate production schedules to operations and monitor progress daily.
- Adjust schedules as needed to respond to delays, equipment breakdowns, or changing priorities.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance throughout the scheduling process.
- Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials to prevent shortages or overproduction.
- Generate and analyze production reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and support production planning initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production and operational performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, ensuring a high level of employee engagement and performance.
- Conduct regular training sessions on production processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative techniques and technologies into production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perfer Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of scheduling or production planning experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent Excel/ Google Docs Software.
- Prefer Bilingual in Spanish.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, GMPs, and regulatory requirements (preferred).
- This position may require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on production needs.
- The candidate should be comfortable working in a kitchen and production environment with varying temperatures.
