Location: Remote (PST)
Duration: 4+ months contract
Rate: $40-66/hr.

Professional Services for Linux Assistance - RHEL Linux Administrator
SUMMARY
Our Government client looking to bring on a seasoned Linux administrator to help revamp their Linux hardening, documentation, and monitoring environment
Tasks
- Automate RHEL patching
- Migrate current docker swarm and CEPH environments to RHEL
- Implement docker bench for security and ongoing monitoring via automation
- Implement docker registry and automated image scanning
- Review CEPH implementation for performance and security best practices and hardening
- Create docker health and configuration monitoring (swarm and containers) with Rundeck and PRTG
- Work closely with our infosec team to ensure that all security requirements are met
- Document all stages of work and changes
- Evaluation of monitoring environment also adding some improvements.
- Complete tasks around STIG hardening, Firewall configurations, end point protection, and deployment automation using RunDeck by PagerDuty
- Migrate configurations from Puppet by Perforce to RunDeck by PagerDuty
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Docker swarm and container skills
- Ability to create documentation
- Rundeck from Pagerduty
- Puppet by Perforce
- Remote work very ok, as long as can work PAC time zone work hours
- Monday - Thursday 7:30AM - 5:30 PM PST
- 38-hour work week (9.5 hours/day - .5 unpaid lunch) = 10 hour work days
- Must be able to pass a criminal back ground check (including livescan) before starting work. Takes 3-6 weeks to clear.
