Summary
We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Systems Complex Manager who will be responsible for all information and manufacturing system operations activities (multi-shift), including computer and network operations, troubleshooting, data control/security, documentation software version control, service agreements/licensing, backup/recovery and system performance.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance to all Operation locations, i.e., Plants, Feed Mills, Hatcheries, etc. for planning, directing and monitoring information and manufacturing systems operations. Assists with hardware/software and application review and selection.
- Plans, budgets and assists in preparing system scope and detailed specifications, manages systems integrators, manages implementation schedule, quality assurance, test plans, training and startup. Also directs the interface of software systems with plant equipment and information applications. Manages CER process as required.
- Provides overall responsibility for activities associated with the problem identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported computer system problems. Monitors and responds to complex technical hardware and software problems
- Serves as focal point for implementing complex-wide hardware/software/application changes and additions. Ensures users are properly using system to maintain data integrity, security, and recoverability.
- Serves as business liaison maintaining effective relations with all business levels - Complex Managers, Finance, other Manufacturing Systems and IT personnel and floor.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- BS degree or equivalent related work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Management plus 4 -6 years related work experience.
- Experience in Microprocessor based equipment.
- Microsoft product knowledge.
- Voice/Data Network Administration, Data Center Operations Management (Unix), and Database Administration.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
- Positions at Corporate are mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings, or support in facilities when they are deployed to a site. Positions in plants involve moving throughout the plants, feedmills, hatcheries and other facilities as needed to deploy, monitor, and support manufacturing systems equipment.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
- Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
- When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- May be exposed to all chemicals found in poultry, food and processing plant.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
