Position Title: Industrial Electrical Lead Technician

Mission:
- A facilities maintenance lead electrician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within R&D facilities, and this includes troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new wiring or fixtures, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and in addition to managing maintenance schedules, planning and executing complex electrical projects, collaborating with other departments, and providing expertise in troubleshooting intricate electrical issues.
Day to day:
- Maintains, trouble shoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, edge fact equipment, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation system.
- Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work.
Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned. - Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders.
- Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems.
- Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance program.
Must Haves:
- Minimum 8+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Facilities electrician.
- Knowledge using hand tools, electrical meter and testing equipment.
- Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC.
- Strong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls, drives and electronic components.
- Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics.
- Good understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus.
- Proficient with computer and mobile devices.
