
Nurse (Trainee)
- Performs limited nursing duties, completes assignments with guidance from a higher grade employee or supervisor.
- Receives orientation and guidance on nursing policies, regulations, techniques and procedure to which assigned.
- Provides limited nursing care for patients.
- Administers drugs prescribed for patients.
- Obtains blood specimens.
- Measures temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight and blood pressure and tests vision and hearing.
- Documents care provided electronically or manually in health records.
- Submits patient referrals and coordinate appointments with various clinics.
- Participates in development, update and evaluation of nursing standards of care. Maintains professional caring attitude when dealing with patients and their families.

Education: At minimum, an associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing. A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the , , , or an accrediting body recognized by the at the time the degree was obtained.
Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
Licensure: For all grade levels and positions, applicants must have passed the . In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
