Position Title: Senior Oracle HCM Payroll Analyst
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H) or straight contract
Location: Remote, but highly preferred within Minnesota or surrounding states (ND, SD, WI, IA, IL). Candidates may occasionally be required onsite in Minnesota.
About the Role: Health Client is seeking a Senior Oracle HCM Payroll Technology Analyst to play a vital role in optimizing payroll operations.
This role focuses on leveraging technology to streamline business processes, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic organizational goals.
The analyst will manage the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of integrated payroll systems, including Oracle Cloud HCM, myTime (Time & Attendance/Staff Scheduling), and ADP.
As part of an agile product team,
the Senior Analyst ensures that payroll systems and processes meet the needs of Payroll teams, leaders, employees, and other stakeholders.
This role requires close collaboration with Human Resources, IT, and Data Operations to maintain current functionality, implement enhancements, and ensure data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and optimize payroll systems, including Oracle Cloud HCM and related tools.
- Manage system changes, software releases, and the introduction of new functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and meet stakeholder requirements.
- Write and execute standard and ad hoc data reports, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure integrations operate smoothly.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and process guides.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and security standards while maintaining confidentiality.
- Monitor and audit multistate quarterly and year-end tax processing and filings.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to stakeholders and system users.
- Stay current on system updates and leverage opportunities to improve processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in relevant software applications, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including multistate quarterly and year-end tax processing.
- Experience in payroll/finance reporting with robust mathematical and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in payroll or programming/system analysis.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
- Oracle Certification or significant experience with Oracle HCM.
- Proficiency in SQL and reporting tools like OTBI, BIP, HCM Extracts, and FDI.
- Expertise in tools like Microsoft Visual Studio Report Designer and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Deep understanding of multistate tax processing and payroll best practices.
