Role Description

The Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Documentation Specialist ensures that the company’s imported and domestic nutraceutical and food ingredients meet documentation requirements under governmental regulations, USDA NOP and EU Organic standards, as well as company regulatory and quality standards.

This role serves as the primary contact for QA personnel, ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance. Additionally, the role collaborates with the Sales and Operations team for documentation help.

There may also be additional expansion roles available in the R&D space to help support ingredient development projects and maintain accurate product information for seamless communication with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences. Preferred: Nutrition, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food/nutrition regulatory document compliance.
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of US FDA FSMA/FSVP, HACCP, USDA and EU Organic regulations.
  • Experience or knowledge of organic audits is a plus.
  • Experience with regulatory document creation, maintenance, and compliance checks.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to minute details.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with domestic and global teams and across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • This person needs to be:
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • A self-starter able to work independently, as well as in teams.
  • A multi-tasker capable of working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Creative and resourceful, able to see what is relevant and ask the right questions.

Salary: From $70,000.00 to $110,000.00 based on experience and knowledge
