Position Overview

We are seeking a Sales Representative to drive new business development while providing expert technical support to OEM golf cart accounts. This hybrid role combines sales expertise with technical acumen, serving as a crucial link between clients, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is both a proactive sales professional and a knowledgeable technical resource, capable of identifying and securing new business opportunities while ensuring customers receive tailored solutions and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and target new OEM golf cart accounts through market research, networking, and lead generation strategies.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to penetrate new markets, expand the OEM client base, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and engineering leads at OEM accounts.
  • Present product offerings, value propositions, and customized solutions to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Technical Support & Consultation

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical inquiries, providing product specifications, troubleshooting assistance, and application guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between OEM clients and internal engineering/product teams to address technical requirements and customization requests.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical consultations to showcase product features and integration capabilities.
  • Stay updated on golf cart industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights.

Collaboration & Customer Success

  • Work closely with internal teams to tailor proposals, address client requirements, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Support post-sale activities by assisting in resolving technical issues and coordinating with support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, technical documentation, and sales activities using CRM software.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings to drive business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or customer support—preferably in the automotive, golf cart, or OEM manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of golf cart systems, components, and technologies (e.g., electric motors, batteries, controllers, chassis design).
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities in a technical sales environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and technical documentation tools.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with OEM clients in the golf cart, electric vehicle, or recreational vehicle markets.
