As an Aerospace Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that every component meets the highest industry standards, supporting our commitment to excellence in aerospace manufacturing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.).
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in inspections.
- Identify and document non-conformances, collaborating with teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform audits of production processes to verify adherence to quality control procedures.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and generate comprehensive reports.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA, and other aerospace regulations.
- Operate and program CMM (preferred but not required).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or certification in aerospace quality preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace inspection, quality control, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments and inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or handle materials up to 50 pounds.
- Strong visual acuity to perform detailed inspections.
