Responsibilities Of The Indirect Procurement Consultant
- Leverage extensive Business Services Procurement experience to develop and implement sourcing strategies across Indirect Categories, ensuring strategic supplier relationships and performance management.
- Drive the creation and execution of sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier selection and cost efficiencies.
- Conduct market research to inform category strategies and sourcing activities, filtering data into actionable insights.
- Oversee the Supplier Performance and Relationship Management process, including facilitation of Executive Business Reviews.
- Partner with Business owners to identify and mitigate risks throughout the sourcing process, coordinating with risk subject matter experts to develop effective risk management plans.
- Lead complex contract negotiations, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Business Partners, Finance, and Legal to secure favorable terms and drive business objectives.
- Strong understanding of regulated environments and their unique complexities.
- AI-driven mindset, with a passion for leveraging AI opportunities to drive innovation in Services.
- Proactive and adaptable, thriving in ambiguity while developing creative, solution-oriented strategies.
- Solid grasp of risk management, including processes, tools, and rating methodologies.
- Proven expertise in complex supplier negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder priorities.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, persuasive insights.
- Skilled in fostering collaborative relationships and earning trust and respect to drive business success.
- Life sciences industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- An advanced degree (MS or MBA) in a Scientific or Business discipline is preferred.
