VP Finance Opportunity - Hyper Growth Food Startup

Your new role
They're seeking a strategic VP of Finance to join their team, reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, you'll drive financial strategy and operations for a rapidly growing business, with a significant market impact. The position includes equity and the potential to become the company's first CFO, with an anticipated major exit in the next few years.
You'll scale the business, optimize operations, and shape the company's financial future. Responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and capital allocation. You'll collaborate with senior leadership to drive growth and profitability while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in financial management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Food & beverage experience is essential, with a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, cost structures, working capital cycles, and financial metrics
- Proven background in banking and/or private equity
- Proven experience of working in a fat growth, startup environment
- Experience with ERP system implementation and managing audits.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and scale a team
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to be hands on
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with other leaders.
