Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Geospatial Analysts to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro to edit vector data or complete feature extraction. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will work on a variety of fast-paced geospatial projects, demonstrating decision-making abilities while utilizing tools to extract, analyze, and visualize spatial data to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Geospatial Data Analysis: Use ArcGIS Pro and other GIS software to analyze and interpret geospatial data, including satellite imagery and vector layers

- Feature Extraction: Conduct feature extraction from satellite imagery and other remote sensing data sources for applications such as transportation mapping, land use classification, environmental monitoring, and urban planning

- Data Management: Maintain accurate geospatial data sets, ensure data quality, and assist in data preparation for field applications or further analysis

- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project managers and GIS specialists to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality geospatial outputs

- Quality Control: Perform quality control on geospatial data and analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability of results

- Judgement: Exercise clear insight in decision-making processes while remaining mindful of long-term ramifications on stakeholders or the client

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Geospatial Technician, Geospatial Analyst or similar role

- Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, including experience using advanced tools and workflows for spatial analysis, mapping, and geoprocessing

- Demonstrated experience completing feature extraction from raster and vector data sources (e.g., mapping vector data for buildings, roads, vegetation, land cover) using ArcGIS Pro

- Ability to interpret satellite imagery to distinguish between various geographic feature types, such as ridgelines, valleys, waterways, forests, and borders in urban, rural, and remote settings

- Knowledge of GIS data formats, metadata standards, and geospatial data management best practices

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex spatial datasets to solve geospatial problems

- Understanding of cartographic principles and map design

- Undergraduate degree in Geographic related field
