Director Strategic Programs & Chief of Staff
About The Role
The Director of Strategic Programs and Chief of Staff (CoS) will serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, providing high-level strategic support and ensuring key business initiatives are effectively executed. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, operational excellence, and leadership to help scale the organization, drive alignment, and enhance decision-making. The position will report to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor and sounding board to executive leadership, offering insights and recommendations on key business priorities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and iterate a three-year strategic plan.
- Manage cross-functional projects to execute strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across teams.
- Lead and oversee special projects, acting as an extension of executive leadership in high-impact initiatives.
- Identify acquisition opportunities and play a key role in M&A activities and post-merger integration.
- Prepare and coordinate executive communications, including board materials, investor updates, and internal messaging.
- Facilitate executive team meetings, ensuring follow-ups and accountability on key action items.
- Anticipate business challenges and proactively develop solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree & MBA.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy roles within a SaaS company, consulting firm, or multinational corporation.
- Experience, network, and positive references in the consulting, legal, or contract lifecycle management (CLM) industry are a plus.
- Strong skills in project management, research, and analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives that yield measurable business results.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization with high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in building and executing M&A strategies.
- Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience working within a globally distributed organization.
- A human-centric leadership approach that values and appreciates diverse contributions.
- Ability to foster collaboration across teams by leading by example.
- Willingness to travel globally between 10-15%.
