Kent Engineering | Architectural Diagnostics is looking for an Architect for their Seattle

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Architectural Consultant
  • Conduct multi-family residential/commercial remediation-investigations.
  • Investigate/assess damages due to catastrophes or normal environmental conditions (storm damage, hurricanes, floods, marine environment.)
  • Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations.
  • Apply architectural principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards.
  • Prepare Architectural reports stating cause and origin of damage to clients.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Write proposals.
  • Write scopes of repair
  • Communicate project updates and timelines to staff and clients.
  • Travel locally and nationally on occasion.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • 5 years of architectural experience (10 or more years preferred)
  • Registered Architect license in Hawaii
  • Experience with premises and walking surface investigations, including product defect.
  • Ability to inspect homes, roofs and crawlspaces.
  • Working knowledge of building structures and the construction process
  • Experience writing technical reports.
  • Project management experience
