Pay: $20/hour + optional flat $300 for post-event strikes

Who We Are

Urban Allure Events is a full-service event planning and design production firm based in Chicago and working globally. Since 2015, we’ve created meaningful, stylish, and story-driven celebrations for clients who value quality, connection, and unforgettable details. From intimate weddings to large-scale brand experiences, our work is rooted in thoughtful design, strategic execution, and a deep belief in the magic of moments done well.

We specialize in planning, design, florals, and production—and pride ourselves on having a collaborative, hands-on, and down-to-earth approach. We know what it takes to bring events to life from the ground up, and we’re looking for someone who’s just as passionate about getting the details right as we are.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a proactive, organized, and creative Studio Assistant to support our floral + design production work. Based out of our Goose Island studio, this role includes everything from prepping florals and managing hard goods inventory to supporting load-ins and creating on-site magic for weddings and events. You’ll work directly with our founder, floral director, and production team—and have the opportunity to grow into planning and design work as you gain experience.

Whether you're just breaking into the industry or looking for part-time work that fuels your creative side, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small but mighty team that genuinely loves what we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Studio Management: Maintain an organized, clean, and inspiring studio environment—this includes cleaning candleholders, organizing rentals and vases, and keeping supplies stocked and ready.
  • Floral Support: Receive, check, and process incoming floral orders; help hydrate, clean, and prep flowers for production.
  • Inventory Coordination: Manage our hard goods inventory (vessels, candles, decor, supplies), ensuring everything is accounted for, stored properly, and ready for upcoming events. Manage inventory organization and work on creating systems.
  • Sample Setups: Assist with in-studio mockups and sample setups for client meetings or design reviews.
  • Event Execution: Support our team during event load-ins, setups, and (optionally) post-event strikes for a flat $300 rate.
  • Studio Errands: Comfortable driving around Chicago for pickups and deliveries; must be able to drive a cargo van or small box truck up to 15ft.
What We’re Looking For
  • A go-getter with great energy and a “no job is too small” attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for visual detail
  • Enjoys working in a creative, fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Valid Driver’s License + reliable transportation
  • Floral or event experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train the right person!
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating with a small team
Growth Opportunities
  • Work directly with our Floral Director and learn the art + logistics of event floral design
  • Collaborate with our Planning Team and gain insight into the full planning process
  • Hands-on mentorship and the ability to explore different areas of event production
  • Be part of creative brainstorms, design presentations, and mockups as you grow
  • Opportunities to expand into client-facing roles and larger event responsibilities over time
Perks + Compensation
  • $20/hour with flat $300 rate for event strike shifts
  • A creative, collaborative, and values-driven team
  • Exposure to high-end events, luxury clientele, and real-world experience across planning, design, and floral
