Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for oversight of Manufacture and Hub Programs including contracting with manufacturers and network pharmacies, day to day operations, serves as the main point of contact for clients and vendors, and oversees the rebate process. Although they are not directly performing these tasks, the Program Manager ensures that audits, accounting rebates, and other responsibilities are carried out by support staff such as audits and accounting tasks, and communicates with manufacturers, network pharmacies, and other related vendors on the progress of such activities. The position will be responsible for the fertility programs supported by Birdi. This position has direct reports.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Direct and execute overall contracting strategy to include redlines, review, and eventual execution of pharmaceutical manufacturer and network pharmacy contracts or other third-party applicable vendors for access, data reporting, and/or other agreements.
- Collaborate and lead contracting process for program with manufacturers, network pharmacies, or other third party vendors through redline process and collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Build business partnerships and alliances to expand services and programs.
- Develop relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and fertility pharmacies.
- Maintain existing business relationships by coordinating and attending routine meetings with our current partners
- Oversee contract implementation and ongoing oversight including data collection, rebate and accounting process, auditing process updates to fertility manufacturer, reporting, meeting timelines, and overall project management.
- Collaborate to maintain a list of network pharmacies.
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures and policies around the entire pharmacy and hub program.
- Oversee reporting, operations, and call metrics to ensure quality care for patients, vendors, manufacturers, and pharmacies.
- Oversee new pharmacy implementations and work with the PBM to implement those pharmacies, their pricing, patient ID processes, and ensure all other needs of the manufacturer and network pharmacy are met.
- Lead implementation initiatives and cross-functional efforts to develop and launch new programs in collaboration with manufacturers and ensure collaboration and vendor satisfaction.
- Develop policies to ensure contractual service performance metrics are met for pharmacies and manufacturers.
- Provide timely coordination of business review meetings with contracted partners.
- Provide timely response to pharmaceutical manufacturer, network pharmacies, or other vendors for issue resolutions, on site visits, audits, and pharmacy information to assist in both parties achieving their contractual obligations.
- Set up and lead internal meetings and external vendor meetings with manufacturers, network pharmacies, or other vendors as needed..
- As needed, participate in Pharmacy Leadership meetings.
- Represent the business at applicable conferences, meetings, and advisory boards.
- Work with accounting and finance teams to resolve and mediate any reconciliation, rebate, or invoicing issues of business partners including manufacturers, network pharmacies, PBM, or other vendors in collaboration with Pharmacy Finance, Director of Manufacturer Relations, and Operations team.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of polices and standard operating procedures applicable to the fertility team and vendor partnerships.
- Maintain a mindset of continuous process improvement and a dedication to keeping updated on industry standards and trends
- Manage direct reports in accordance with company policies in an equal manner that ensures confidentiality.
- Lead and mentor staff to improve skillset and career potential.
- Advise on employee promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated managerial, leadership, and pharmacy experience
- Experience or knowledge of claims adjudication
- Experience or knowledge of secondary billing practices including prescription discount cards and Medicaid
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on Specialty Pharmacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
Preferred Skill/Abilities:
- Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order, Specialty Pharmacy, PBM, pharmaceutical, or managed health care industry preferred.
- At least 5 years in a Specialty Pharmacy or fertility setting, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, or related field.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Home-based office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and frequent local and/or overnight travel, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Transportation for travel typically will include automobile and plane.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
