Job Summary:

Field Tech- Equipment Operator is responsible for operating sweepers, floors scrubbers, pressure washers, industrial vacuums among other equipment as required to complete the job efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to carry up to 40lbs using proper OSHA lifting procedures
  • Load and unload equipment from vehicles and transport it accordingly
  • Must be able to safely drive and maneuver heavy equipment
  • Monitor equipment performance and adjust according as required to finish the task
  • Track the Preventative Maintenance schedule for the equipment and notify supervisors of any abnormalities or due dates.
  • Report equipment problems with detail information, such as but not limited to, where and when machinery was last used.
  • Clean equipment after each used and dispose of any collected scrap and/or waste.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Able to remain focused, concentrated and aware of their surroundings despite multiple distractions.
  • Able to critically thing and work under pressure
  • Able to meet strict deadlines and schedules
  • Flexible and adaptable to work conditions varying by site, schedules changes and weather conditions.


Qualifications:

MUST HAVE DRIVER LICENSE !!

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: One year experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/signs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment safety protocols and procedures
  • Hand, Eye coordination; Often Techs must be able to use all the controls on equipment
  • Must be able to operate heavy machinery
  • Ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with equipment
  • Strong oral communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite
  • Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and other paperwork
  • Good noncommercial driver’s license history to indicate a habit of safe driving
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work weekends
