The Social Media Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing
Schedule
We work in the restaurant industry, nobody only works Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. There will be time spent at our support center downtown, in our restaurants, and at off-site events. However, we believe in work life balance and a reasonable expectation of work hours. You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business and the requirements of the role.

The Social Media Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing

Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Strategy & Content Creation:
- Implement and execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with the marketing goals for each restaurant brand and catering company.
- Create visually appealing content, including photography, videos, and posts, tailored to each brand's voice and audience that will engage our clientele and increase followers and sales.
- Craft compelling copy, captions, post descriptions, and call-to-actions that reflect each brand voice on social media platforms and direct email marketing campaigns.
- Work with Director of Marketing on content calendar and publishing schedule to ensure timely delivery of content across all social and email platforms for multiple brands and campaigns.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure written and visual content for each brand maintains a consistent voice, style, and tone across all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to ensure the messaging is in line with the Company's overall marketing strategy.
- Community Engagement:
- Foster a positive and engaged online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner, addressing feedback and escalating issues when necessary.
- Monitor online conversations, engage with followers to optimize traffic, sales and build brand loyalty.
- Proactive community management where we insert ourselves into relevant and trending topics, initiating engagement, keeping our brands in the conversation, and top of mind.
- Campaign Management:
- Proactively work with Marketing Director to plan social media campaigns and promotions, including seasonal offerings, events, and new menu launches.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, culinary, operations) to properly capture and execute content across all social and email channels.
- Work closely with Director of Marketing to collaborate with influencers, food bloggers, and local partnerships to amplify the restaurant group's social media presence.
- Report on social media engagement (likes, shares, comments, impressions, etc.) and provide insights for improvement.
- Trend Spotting:
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and industry developments, and apply best practices to enhance social media performance.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in social media marketing, preferably in the food, beverage or hospitality industry.
- Strong photography, videography, and editing skills (experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, etc.) with a proven track record of growing engagement and followers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (professional & conversational) with the ability to adapt to the tone and style for different brands.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple brands and social media accounts simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a passion for food and hospitality.
- Experience with social media analytics tools preferred (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional ascending or descending of stairs and/or ramps
- Prolonged periods sitting and working at a desk
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and rotation of the spine, elbows and wrists
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on an occasional basis
- Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words and in the process of communicating with employees and possibly guests
- Constant use of computer systems
