Your role at Sephora... As a Regional Asset Protection Director, you will lead and maximize Asset Protection strategy for your region of stores. This role is accountable for inventory shrink results and reducing liability through safe work practices within the region. In your role, as a strategic leader, you will also drive an additional function (Organized Retail Crime & Safety, AP Training/Policy & Procedure or AP Operations & Implementation) in support of the overall department vision and objectives. You will directly manage a team of District Asset Protection Managers (DAPMs) who in turn manage Store Asset Protection Partners (SAPP’s).

In Addition, You Will
- Direct accountability for shrink reduction, investigations, and safe business practice with consistency
- Build effective partnerships in the field that can be leveraged to achieve common goals of improving sales, profit and client experience while protecting our assets
- Identify market specific opportunities and develop strategies with DAPMs to reduce shrink by reviewing theft patterns, managing effective investigations, and adjusting staffing.
- Maximize investigations by guiding DAPM team on use of exception-based reporting, camera technology, behavioral interview, and law enforcement resources
- Provide recommendations to VP, Asset Protection on physical security measures for existing and future store locations
- Conduct store visits with DAPMs and cross-functional partners to evaluate and identify opportunities to improve shrink and reduce liability
- Manage budgets for AP staffing, guards, team travel, meetings, and physical security within assigned region
- Conduct regular one-on-one conversations with all DAPMs creating individual development plans for their continued growth.
- Create an inclusive environment and develop diverse teams and leaders
- Build talent strategies, succession, and development plans for your region to support the business objectives and growth plans
- One additional area of responsibility will be assigned from the following:
- Organized Retail Crime & Safety
- Develop and maintain partnerships on a national scale with retailers, law enforcement and industry partners to enhance investigations & develop strategies to increase safety
- Manage nationwide meetings, training, certification, support materials and reporting
- Develop programs specific to target crisis intervention, to include but not limited to de- escalation, active shooter and disengagement techniques
- AP Training/Policy & Procedure
- Develop and update AP training, policies and procedures for AP team and Store team
- Support company DE&I initiatives with AP-related expertise
- AP Operations & Implementation
- Advocate for AP team by participating in Field Support Center (FSC) project teams which impact stores
- Solicit feedback from AP team and share critical insights
- Formal updates to leadership team

- 8+ years of Asset Protection experience within multi-unit retail environments
- Understanding of criminal and civil law as it applies to the retail environment
- Proven ability to manage time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Wicklander-Zulawski, Reid, or similar certification
- Excellent verbal/written communications skills and can influence business partners at all levels
- Proven ability to create teams by identifying talented store and district leaders who can train and develop a team to drive shrink reduction while maintaining a safe environment for clients
- Proficiency with Asset Protection applications, MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and store systems including exception-based reporting, EAS, CCTV
- Ability to travel routinely within assigned locations. Travel is a requirement is approximately 70% of the job and includes local and out-of-town travel locations.
