Wanted Logistics and Customer Management Manager
The Logistics and Customer Management professional is responsible for ensuring that a customer's equipment moves through the facility and delivered as expected - considering quality, timeline, budget and positive experience with all company personnel.
Success Requires the Following:
- Oversee the intake and preparation of orders.
- Ensure adherence to customer-defined service levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project planning and setup.
- Generate, assess, and submit all necessary documentation prior to order execution.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures for customer-facing activities.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Join weekly corporate meetings to discuss plant activities and updates on car flow.
- Guarantee the accurate initial status of vehicles in company tracking system.
- Develop and provide a preliminary project schedule with key milestones to the customer.
- Oversee all inspections for enroute and inbound vehicles.
- Handle revenue forecasting tasks.
- Supervise a team of 15-20 administrative and hourly personnel.
- Manage difficult discussions, both internally and with customers, by devising practical solutions for both the customer and business.
- Champion change within the team to support the delivery of the overall strategic objectives.
- Cultivate essential customer management skills, including expertise in the rail industry.
- Build strong external relationships through collaboration with internal teams across production, operations, quality, and engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Project Management or Engineering or combination and experience
- 3 or more years in transportation/logistic field
- PMP Certificate preferred.
- Manufacturing and Scheduling experience preferred.
- Experience managing teams.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
- Technical background with manufacturing acumen preferred.
- Strong process, data and problem-solving skills
- High energy and enthusiasm
- Collaborative and accountable style with an ability to build strong partnerships at all levels of the business.
