We're currently seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team and play a critical role in fostering our strong safety culture.

What You'll Do

As a Safety Officer, you will:

Develop And Maintain Safety Programs

Create, implement, and manage company-wide safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.

Communicate effectively with staff, leadership, HR, and executive management.

Lead Training And Education

Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks.

Design and deliver ongoing safety communications like lunch-and-learns.

Perform Site Inspections And Audits

Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.

Prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.

Investigate And Manage Incidents

Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses.

Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate Across Teams

Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to promote safety awareness.

Advise on safety aspects during project planning and execution.

Manage Risk And Compliance

Develop site-specific safety plans.

Maintain records of safety activities and incidents.

Continuously Improve Safety Culture

Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices.

Recommend and implement strategies to enhance safety.

Education

What You Bring:

B.S. degree in Environmental, Health, or Safety discipline preferred.

Experience

5-7 years of related experience in construction safety.

Proficiency in OSHA standards, fall protection, PPE, LOTO, confined space, and other safety practices.

Proven success in developing and implementing safety programs.

Certifications

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required).

CPR/First Aid certification; additional certifications (e.g., MAWP, PIT, ASP) are highly desirable.

Skills And Attributes

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
