Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Digital Print Operator to join our dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining digital printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output, and adhering to production schedules. This role requires a combination of technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for the printing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain digital printing machines and finishing equipment, including wide-format printers, inkjet printers, and cutters.
  • Prepare and set up digital printing jobs, including material selection, color matching, and resolution settings.
  • Monitor printing jobs for quality control, ensuring that all specifications and customer requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, including time spent, materials used, and any problems encountered.
  • Collaborate with the design and sales teams to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Clean and maintain printing equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new printing technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in graphic arts, printing technology, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a digital print operator or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with digital printing technologies, color management, and prepress processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for color and design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to noise from printing equipment and other machinery.
  • Job is subject to interruptions and is involved with all departments.
