COMPENSATION

We are a pre-money start-up with ~20 mostly part-time, internationally remote, passionate members contributing sweat equity for early stock options — so not a salary based role.

THE ROLE

The Human Rights Communications Director will work closely with leadership on designing and executing discreet research and outreach to international human rights activists and human rights focused journalists.

WE ARE SEEKING someone who:

  • possesses great psychological curiosity and empathy.
  • is currently engaged with human rights organizers, philanthropists and journalists.
  • has a deep social and human rights activist network.
  • is fluent regarding the current human rights issues in Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, et al.
  • has extensive experience in both political and grassroot communications.
  • remains current on world social, political and information industry news / trends.
  • has a deft knowledge of encrypted communications where necessary.
  • can craft highly effective messaging to high-value targets.
  • is available at least 15 hrs per week consistently;
