Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Purchasing Manager, based in Ohio, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, and monitoring inventory levels. Daily tasks will include analyzing market trends, preparing and processing purchase orders, and collaborating with other departments to meet company objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong vendor relationship management and negotiation skills
- Experience in cost-effective procurement and inventory monitoring
- Knowledge of market trends, purchasing principles, and contract management
- Analytical skills and proficiency in preparing and processing purchase orders
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience in the distribution or industrial sector is a plus
