MIDTOWN ROCHESTER is looking for a Seasonal Outdoor Deck Host to add to our first-class organization. The Deck Host will be responsible for enhancing the guest experience and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members and at the Midtown Athletic Club pool and outdoor areas.
This seasonal position will be from May until Labor Day and requires working Friday, Saturday and Sundays, as well as summer holidays. Must be available to work weekends through September. This Rochester, NY based seasonal, part-time position pays $15.75-$16.25 per hour.

The Primary Responsibilities Are
- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Hand out towels and ensure return
- Work with servers and housekeeping to ensure the pool area is clean, clutter-free, and well-maintained at all times
- Enforce pool rules and member etiquette
- Manage Pool & Tennis Deck lost & found
- Enforce Pool & Tennis Deck Etiquette and Youth Area Code
- Ensure courts are swept and tidy.
- Stock towels and keep tennis viewing areas neat and clean.
- Assist Lifeguards when emergency action plan is activated (Call 911 if necessary)
- Manage light maintenance on the courts and surrounding areas (landscaping, removal of bad material, windscreen repairs, etc.).
- Communicate with the hospitality desk on court conditions.
- Recover court time by preparing courts following inclement weather.
- Report on any maintenance or safety issues to the Hospitality Manager
- Other duties as assigned by the Hospitality Manger
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service behavior
- Ability to work effectively with parents and children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, upbeat, glass-half-full attitude
- Passionate about helping others
- Team player
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays through Labor Day
- Aquatics or tennis experience preferred, but not required
