Performs duties and assignments associated with operation and maintenance of a large regional membrane water/wastewater treatment facility. Monitors the water treatment process to ensure plant/permit compliance is within state and federal regulatory agency requirements. Verifies operational targets and settings; calibrates meters; verifies equipment and process control targets are within specified ranges. Performs laboratory testing. Oversees the duties of operators, on specified shift, and ensures that overall plant process targets, and utility goals and objectives are being met. Qualifications

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience as a utility plant operator.

Necessary Special Requirement: Must possess a valid FL Class B Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators License (copy of License must be uploaded to online application within three [3] business days of application submittal).

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: In plant safety precautions and hazards; operating mechanical and electrical equipment similar to the types used in water treatment plants; operating and recording procedures to detect faulty equipment; with Maximo/similar asset management system.
