POSITION
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates compliance and human resource processes in partnership with the Human Resources Department and Team. This role assists in the coordination and partners with the HR Team of employee recruiting, events and compliance across all sites. This position works with departmental leads and the C-Suite to ensure compliant onboarding, effective use of staffing plans and positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates compliance and human resource processes in partnership with the Human Resources Department and Team. This role assists in the coordination and partners with the HR Team of employee recruiting, events and compliance across all sites. This position works with departmental leads and the C-Suite to ensure compliant onboarding, effective use of staffing plans and positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Recruiting
- In Partnership with the HR Team, oversee the hiring processes of recruiting and interviewing. Tracking status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Attend Recruiting Fairs, both virtual and in person for new staff in partnership with the HR Team.
- Contacting references and employment verification contacts for potential hires in partnership with the HR Team and Hiring Committee.
- Along side HR Team, work with Leaders to coordinate position postings and maintain posts and applicants.
- Coordinate on-site required certifications and trainings for positions across all sites.
- Assist HR Lead, Sr. Directors and C-Suite with collaborating with hiring managers to review potential candidates and ensure best fit.
- Designated Title 9 Coordinator
- Assist Directors and HR Lead with maintaining and coordinating employee evaluation calendar and execution.
- Coordinate and schedule periodic meetings for the HR Lead to meet with applicable departments such as departmental leads across the organization to ensure ongoing discussions related to HR needs.
- Receive and process subpoenas for employee records and provide backup assistance as the custodian of records.
- Assist with maintenance, accuracy, and integrity of employee files.
- Provide backup for Board Secretary by: Attending Board meetings, public hearings, and work sessions for the purpose of providing information, recording minutes, coordinating material distribution and/or supporting the needs of attendees.
- Conduct internal audits as needed to ensure adherence to AMPS policies and practices
- Coordinate annual review of policies and handbooks for all aspects of compliance

- Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant software.
- Previous experience in education or nonprofit environments, preferred.
- Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
- Ability to regularly use finger dexterity.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking on stairs, inclines and flat surfaces.
- Motor coordination and finger dexterity for keyboarding and other tasks.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to twenty pounds.
- Ability to sustain in various weather conditions.
- Ability to access and navigate various facilities within the multiple school site network
