We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Application Developer - Advanced in Boston, Massachusetts. The primary focus of this role is to handle coding and migration tasks within the industry. As an Application Developer, you will be deeply involved in Java1.8/J2EE Technologies, Spring framework, and API development design patterns. You will also be expected to work with UNIX bash/shell scripting, Oracle DB SQL, and other ORM frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain applications using Java1.8/J2EE Technologies such as Servlets, JSP, JMS, Kafka, and JDBC.
Utilize the Spring framework and SOAP/REST Webservices for application development.
Design, build, and maintain APIs and Microservices architecture.
Utilize Quartz scheduler framework and Autosys jobs for task scheduling.
Perform UNIX bash/shell scripting for various tasks.
Analyze, design, and work on migration of legacy application code for technology upgrades.
Work proficiently with Oracle DB SQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate/ibatis/Mybatis.
Handle data modelling and data transformations.
Experience or knowledge in file transmission protocols like FTP, FTPS, SFTP, NDM, etc.
Work with UI framework technologies like Angular JS, React JS, JavaScript, HTML.
Utilize GIT, Ant/Maven, Jenkins for continuous integration development environments and tools.
Experience with Tomcat server and Linux OS.
Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Provide support for infrastructure upgrades and activities.
Address production issues, perform root cause analysis, and assist support/business teams when needed.
Work in an agile environment, perform designing, coding, unit testing, and code reviewing.

Requirements

Proficient in JavaScript, SQL, Java, and R Code
Advanced knowledge of HTML coding and Spring Framework
Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and migration processes
Capable of performing Ad Hoc Financial tasks
Understands and can work with UNIX and Linux systems
Experience with REST API and other protocols
Knowledge of libraries and other software frameworks
Excellent training and communication skills
Able to optimize processes and systems for efficiency
Familiarity with "About Time" software or similar time management tools
Experience with capital management and working with suppliers
Understanding of compliance functions and regulations
Ability to work onsite when needed
