Provides backup and assistance to the Corporate Payroll Team. Ensures accurate and timely processing of data for payroll processing.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Provide assistance with the processing all company payrolls ensuring timely and accurate transmission of data
- Resolve payroll questions, problems, and adjustments
- Provide assistance on a daily basis regarding payroll issues
- Assist payroll team with day-to-day responsibilities
- Serve as backup during vacation coverage and absences as required
- Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process
- Assist with reporting on a bi-weekly, quarterly and annual basis
- Successfully produce results under tight timelines meeting high-level quality standards
- Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPEs, Ergonomics, etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
- Assist with housekeeping in the Finance area
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of payroll experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks at one time
- Excellent follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization
- Expertise/experience in the payroll field is preferred, particularly if that experience is in ADP WFN and WFM.
- Bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 5 pounds at times.
