Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead
Duration: 6-12 Month Contract
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (Preferred) or Remote
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Testing Phases:
Oversee the testing phase for large-scale projects and programs, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and end-user requirements.
Test Strategy & Execution
Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, including test scenarios, cases, and data in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Manage Test Deliverables
Ensure testing artifacts align with project timelines, quality benchmarks, and stakeholder expectations.
Bug Management
Streamline the bug lifecycle by proactively removing blockers, coordinating with necessary parties, and documenting resolutions.
Risk Mitigation
Identify and resolve risks, communicating mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
Reporting & Insights
Generate test reports and dashboards to provide visibility into testing progress, issues, and overall quality.
Process Improvement
Collaborate with teams to refine testing standards, best practices, and methodologies.
Automation Integration
Partner with automation specialists to incorporate manual test scripts into automated testing frameworks.
Agile & DevOps Advocacy
Promote a quality-first mindset, champion DevOps principles, and support CI/CD practices.
Coaching & Mentoring
Guide and mentor teams on software quality best practices in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Project Management
Key Skills & Attributes:
Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage large-scale testing projects.
Leadership & Collaboration
Skilled in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts.
Problem-Solving
Self-motivated and proactive, with a keen ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Business Acumen
Ability to quickly understand business processes and translate them into effective testing initiatives.
Requirements
Experience:
3-5 years of experience leading software testing projects.
Expertise
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Technical Proficiency
Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO), MS Visual Studio, ServiceNow, and SAP (preferred).
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Agility
Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments, with knowledge of development languages like Java, C, or .NET.
Preferred
SAP testing experience is a plus.
