Job Summary The Manager of Small to Medium Business Sales will lead a team focused on selling the full suite of Optimum Business branded products and services, specifically targeting the small to medium-sized business market. This role includes the management and development of all Optimum Business Account Executives (AEs) on the team, aiming for effective penetration of the SMB market. The Manager will oversee the sales performance of the AEs across the designated Optimum region, ensuring that both sales and installation goals are achieved. Additionally, the Manager will handle hiring and development of new AEs. Responsibilities Lead a sales team of approximately 9 to 12 AEs, reporting directly to the Area Sales Director. Ensure individual and team sales objectives are achieved. Identify opportunities currently captured by competitors. Provide feedback from the field to Product and Marketing teams to inform responsive strategies based on market demands. Conduct periodic checks on sales order addresses in the field. Accompany AEs on field visits to observe their processes, completing observation forms for constructive feedback. Share monthly and quarterly opportunity statistics through SFDC with the team. Communicate field insights effectively and propose recommendations for product enhancements informed by market feedback. Spend at least 50% of time in the field with direct reports for mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive criticism of sales activities. Organize and lead weekly or monthly team sales meetings and workshops. Qualifications Adept at understanding organizational dynamics and respecting the culture of Altice while implementing innovative ideas. Skilled in enhancing sales staff performance through proactive recruitment and retention strategies. Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to analyze issues, question assumptions, and devise creative solutions. A strong communicator and collaborative team player, adept at building consensus across diverse groups. Core competencies include teamwork, integrity, flexibility, stress management, and a commitment to excellence. Experience managing personnel and multiple projects simultaneously. Capable of developing actionable plans and overseeing task completion. Broad knowledge of telecom products and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze sales results and develop strategies for improvement.
