Qualifications
Meet Arkansas Teaching Licensure requirements. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills and experiences. Understanding of pedagogy and content. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Enforces guidelines to maintain proper discipline and conduct. Collaborates with other District personnel in developing and implementing quality educational programs. Maintains an effective and safe school environment. Establishes and maintains an effective learning climate in the classroom. Works as a team member to meet the system-wide needs of the district. Select and use appropriate curriculum and instructional resources. Create an environment of respect and rapport. Establish a positive culture for learning. Exhibit effective classroom procedures with little loss of instruction. Effectively supervise students and manage student behavior. Effectively communicate with students. Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students behavioral and academic problems. Exhibit high expectations and effective delivery of lessons. Demonstrate effective questioning and discussion techniques. Provide timely, consistent, and high-quality feedback to students. Exhibit the use of assessments during instruction. Assist in the supervision of students (such as in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading). Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
