Position Summary

Removes product from automated conveyor and packs product (by customer) in a manner where product will withstand transport and arrive damage-free.

Essential Functions

  • Reads and analyzes daily load sheets.
  • Uses PIV to transport non conveyable items when needed.
  • Assesses space available in trailers and retrieves cases from the conveyor.
  • Safely organizes cases on the trailer, fitting and blocking cases so that heavy items are on the bottom. Secures load to prevent damage during transit.
  • Separates grocery, cooler and freezer items and packs accordingly.
  • Offers assistance to other team members.
  • Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis - remove pallets, clean up boxes, etc.
  • May scan cases with RIF when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
