We are looking for qualified candidates to fill our Weight Room Attendant position. This position will ensure the safety and cleanliness of the weight room and gymnasium by providing supervision, equipment orientation and training, and enforcing polices and procedures.
Job Summary
Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Participation in a weight training class desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CPR/AED and first aid required or must obtain within the first 60 days.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Teach equipment orientation classes for groups and individuals.
- Continually monitor weight room, gymnasium and rock wall. Enforce all policies and procedures.
- Clean weight room and fitness rooms, maintain neatness and organization and keep supplies stocked.
- Work with maintenance staff to conduct preventive maintenance on weight room equipment.
- Inspect equipment to ensure equipment is working properly; report any safety hazards; take equipment out of order if necessary.
- Prevent emergencies by educating users on proper lifting techniques and prohibiting unsafe techniques. Handle emergency situations.
- Assist with room set up and tear downs.
- Assist in set up and tear down of athletic equipment in gymnasium.
- Conduct and assist in facility inspection.
