The Scrum Master II serves as a servant-leader and Agile coach for Digital Banking teams, supporting the successful delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives across the Digital Banking ecosystem. This role is responsible for guiding cross-functional teams through the Agile development lifecycle, ensuring alignment between product vision, technical execution, and business outcomes.

This includes facilitating key Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, mentoring team members, and promoting Agile maturity across the organization.
In addition to day-to-day team support, the Scrum Master II plays a critical role in driving transparency, optimizing team performance, and strengthening the connection between development teams and stakeholders. This individual partners with Product Owners, engineers, quality analysts, and business leaders to deliver innovative digital banking solutions that enhance customer experience, meet regulatory expectations, and align with enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities
- Agile Facilitation & Coaching - Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Coach teams on Agile principles and Scrum best practices to foster continuous improvement and team growth.
- Team Enablement & Impediment Resolution - Actively identify and remove blockers that impede progress. Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving team-level challenges and fostering an environment of trust, autonomy, and accountability.
- Backlog & Delivery Alignment - Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure backlogs are well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. Support sprint goal achievement and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Communication - Ensure transparency through regular updates and clear communication with business and technical partners. Facilitate alignment on priorities, risks, and project status.
- Project Coordination & Planning - Coordinate day-to-day Agile delivery across cross-functional teams. Track progress, monitor dependencies, and manage delivery timelines for digital banking initiatives.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting - Track key Agile metrics such as velocity and burn-down charts. Provide actionable insights to help drive data-informed decisions and support team performance improvement.
- Continuous Improvement - Facilitate retrospectives with clear, actionable outcomes. Drive process enhancements to improve delivery efficiency, collaboration, and team maturity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in
License or Certification Type: Scrum Master Certification Required
Preferred:
- Minimum 3 years of experience specifically serving as a dedicated Scrum Master for technology-driven teams (preferably within banking, fintech, or financial services)
- Strong understanding of Scrum principles, team dynamics, and Agile delivery frameworks
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting product delivery cycles
- Proficient in using Jira, Confluence, and Agile reporting tools
- Ability to build trust, influence without authority, and mediate discussions across diverse stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a servant-leader mindset
- Familiarity with business operations, Agile metrics, sprint planning, and backlog management
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
