The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. This role handles marketing and interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. This role handles marketing and interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction. What You’ll Do…
- Conduct tours scheduled in person tours with prospective residents who arrive at the property and perform warm hand off for scheduled tours.
- Manage the leasing process from the initial prospective resident contact utilizing the warm handoff technique, property touring, selling the property/apartment, and setting them up for creating a lease with the Application Admin.
- Ensure the community stays at or above occupancy goals. Create strategy reports to send to RD/VP as needed.
- Ensure “model” apartments and target apartments are ready for show; be aware of the “curb appeal” of the community.
- Responsible for training the leasing specialists in the touring and leasing process including reviewing closing ratios and shop reports.
What You Need to Succeed…
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
- 2+ years of Customer Service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of property management software, preferably YARDI, preferred.
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, be accountable for actions, and be self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated knowledge of phone and email procedures and etiquette.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
- If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
