Job Description
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

- 25% Independently complete daily routine tasks, including professional and timely responses to email inquiries.
- 25% Submit and manage requests for recruitment, hiring, and changes to student hourly positions for the School of Business.
- 15% Complete monthly data extracts, analysis, and reporting, as directed by staff, including the invoicing of School promotional items.
- 15% Audit hiring, funding and/or payroll change requests to ensure accuracy.
- 10% Assist Business School HR staff with broad range of other HR related tasks which may include processing of affiliate requests, updating of policies/procedures, posting of visa application documents, processing staff resignations, and reviewing position descriptions.
- 10% Other duties as assigned by unit staff.
- Basic Excel skills with desire to improve to an advanced level.
- Excellent written skills as evidenced in application materials.
- Strong attention to detail as determined by application materials.
- Independent problem-solving skills.
- A current Business School student
- Federal Work Study financial aid award
- Major, minor, or special interest in human resources
- Fall, Spring and Summer availability
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with customer base (students, faculty, staff, etc.).
