Job Title Director of Marketing and Membership Department Majestic Theater Position Summary
Gettysburg College’s historic Majestic Theater is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual with strong attention to detail and superior customer relations skills to serve in this 12-month, full-time position as Director of Marketing and Membership. The Majestic Theater will celebrate its centennial in November, 2025, and has for a century served as a hub of culture in the heart of historic Gettysburg. Gettysburg College is a highly selective, residential undergraduate liberal arts college, which enrolls approximately 2,400 students. This position reports to the Executive Director of the Majestic Theater.
The Director of Marketing and Membership will lead efforts in marketing and communications, membership, and will join a small but mighty team that connects thousands of people with arts and culture annually.
Responsibilities Include
This role includes working evenings and weekends as necessary for the calendar of events.
The Director of Marketing and Membership is a 12-month, full-time administrative appointment. Salary is in the range of $52,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience and is complemented by an excellent benefits package.
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent combination of experience required. Experience in live events, event marketing, or ticketing preferred. Use of Microsoft and Adobe Suites, ability to walk or stand for extended periods, to lift up to 30 pounds, collaborate efficiently with a variety of individuals, remain calm in high pressure environments, and superior written and verbal communications skills are required. Exceptional customer service skills, adaptability, and a professional demeanor are critical in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Serves as a front of house manager during live events
- Manage season brochure ad sales program
- Other duties as assigned
