ASSYST is seeking an experienced Training Instructor to join our client's team supporting the development and delivery of comprehensive training for an enterprise Grants Management System (GMS) built on Salesforce at Austin, Texas.
This role will be responsible for creating and conducting technical and procedural training programs for internal staff, administrators, and external users. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in instructional design, hands-on delivery, and the ability to tailor training materials for varied audiences and learning styles.
Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Job Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Please Note: Position will be 2 days (Mondays and Fridays) remote and 3 days (Tuesdays-Thursdays) on-site at Austin, Texas. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement training curricula and materials including instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, job aids, videos, and webinars.
  • Deliver technical training both in-person and virtually, focused on various software solutions, IT procedures, and user support practices.
  • Develop and maintain course outlines, training manuals, and multimedia presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct needs analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to develop training strategies and schedules aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of Salesforce Grants Management System training materials, including role-based and scenario-based content.
  • Support EIR Accessibility standards in training materials and delivery methods, ensuring content is usable by people with disabilities.
  • Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools to distribute and track training.
  • Assist in formatting, editing, and reviewing training materials prepared by other team members.
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and records of training activities, course effectiveness, and participant progress.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve instructional delivery and learning outcomes through feedback and performance data.
  • Research and recommend appropriate training tools, vendors, and resources as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in training instruction, curriculum development, and instructional design.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering training for IT systems, software applications, security procedures, installation, maintenance, and support.
  • Experience working with web-based learning platforms and e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Presenter).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated flexibility and aptitude for teaching a wide variety of software products.
  • Experience developing and delivering cloud-based technology training is a plus.
  • Understanding of EIR Accessibility and communication protocols for users requiring assistive technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering training for IT applications or systems.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills across diverse user groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
